York County is an ideal destination for a wide variety of festivals throughout the year. We’ve gathered a few spring and summer favorites for you below:
Music and Cultural Festivals
May 30-31: Rock The Country at the York Expo Center
This music festival unites country legend Kid Rock and ultimate rockstars Nickelback. The concerts will also feature the southern rock kings Lynyrd Skynyrd, the legendary Travis Tritt, one of the hottest up and comers Gavin Adock, Ole 60, Mark Chesnutt, Sammy Kershaw, Neal McCoy, Little Texas, Hudson Westbrook, Logan Crosby, Afroman, and Dee Jay Silver. Tickets are going fast.
June 14: York County Pride at the York Expo Center
York County Pride is a time to come together and celebrate the full inclusion of our wonderfully diverse community and specifically celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community in York County. York County Pride is the signature event of the Rainbow Rose Center. Enjoy speakers, entertainment, children’s activities, vendors, and exhibitors.
June 21: 23rd Annual Penn-Mar Irish Festival at Pheasant Run Garden Center and Greenhouse*
This family-friendly festival features music from Albannach (in their only Pennsylvania show during 2025), Cas Ceol, Cassie and Maggie, Clann Redmond, The Diddley Idols, Enda Reilly, Runa, Susquehanna Pipes & Drums, and Tartan Terrors, plus Irish dance groups, Irish vendors and food, free children’s activities, cultural exhibits, and more.
Agricultural Festivals
May 31: Strawberry Festival & Craft Show at Mt. Airy Orchards
Enjoy live music, a craft show with more than 60 local artisans, pick-your-own strawberries, food sampling, free wagon rides, and more! Visit the kitchen for delicious strawberry treats: shortcake, sundaes, milkshakes, slushies, and be sure to try the fabulous seasonal strawberry salad for lunch. Yummmm!
June 13-14: 16th Annual Serviceberry Festival at Heartwood Nursery**
Learn about and celebrate the beautiful, little-known native serviceberry tree and its delicious berries, with tours, talks, sampling, and more. The nursery and garden shop will be filled with serviceberry trees and many other beautiful native plants to help you add ecofriendly beauty to your yard.
June 13-14: Lavender Thyme Faire at Castle Creek Farm**
It’s all things lavender with blooming lavender and a variety of lavender food and drinks (lavender cookies, whoopie pies, ice cream, lemonade, and coffee), a shop filled with many lavender products, plus speakers and vendors.
July 12: Blueberry Festival & Craft Show at Mt. Airy Orchards
Start your day with a breakfast of blueberry pancakes, and stay to enjoy more than 60 arts and craft vendors, pick-your-own berries, live music, free tractor-pulled wagon rides, and more. Benefits Hope Walks.
August 16: Peach Festival at Mt. Airy Orchards
This peachy-keen day features a pancake breakfast followed by a craft show, PYO fruit, live music, free tractor-pulled wagon rides, and more.
Additional Festivals and Fairs
June 7-8: Experience Codorus Outdoors at Codorus State Park
A celebration of outdoor fun, with environmental education, good food, live music, kids zone, and local craft artisans overlooking the beautiful Lake Marburg.
June 21: Juneteenth “Lift Every Voice” Celebration at Campus Park
The event combines music, vendors, resources, dancing, games, food, history, and performances to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. In addition to Saturday’s festival, additional Juneteenth events in York include activities at the York Revolution game on June 19 and a documentary screening and panel at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts on June 20.
June 21: Get Crafted Fine Art, Fine Crafts & Spirits Festival in Royal Square District*
A celebration of creativity, culture, and community, showcasing a diverse array of artwork that may evoke a range of emotions and spark meaningful conversations.
June 27-29: Riverfest Weekend in Wrightsville, Columbia, and Marietta
Riverfest commemorates the burning of the Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge during the Civil War. On the last Sunday in June 1863, locals prevented Confederate troops from crossing the river and moving toward Harrisburg or Philadelphia. Confederate troops were forced to turn back and just three days later, the Battle of Gettysburg erupted.
June 28: Pirate Quest at Brookside Park
Ahoy, mateys! Set sail on an epic adventure featuring bounce houses, foam party, vendors with cool pirate swag, mouth-watering food, and a treasure hunt with nearly a dozen thrilling stops where you’ll solve riddles, unlock secrets, and hunt for treasures.
July 7-12: Mason Dixon Fair at Delta-Cardiff Fire Company Fairgrounds
Midway rides, food, animals and livestock, tractor pulls, live music, parade, fireworks, and more.
July 12: Snack Town Street Fair in downtown Hanover
Stroll the streets of charming downtown Hanover that will be filled with artists, authors, craft and food vendors, live music, kids entertainment, and more! Hosted by the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce.
July 18-27: York State Fair at York Expo Center
“America’s First Fair” is celebrating 260 years in 2025! The York State Fair combines entertainment with agriculture, featuring performances by world-famous musicians alongside the Ag education center and livestock judging. Add in rides and special attractions, and a wide assortment of festival food, and you have a recipe for fun for the whole family.
July 25-27: Smoke on the Rail BBQ Festival at Marge Goodfellow Park
While professional KCBS teams compete, attendees can enjoy food trucks, a selection of beverages including beer and adult slushies, yard games, diverse vendors, and live music on multiple stages. On Friday, there's a People’s Choice Wing Competition, and on Saturday, a People’s Choice Pork Competition.
August 2: Saturday in the Park at Springettsbury Township Park
This free-admission annual festival features food trucks, carnival activities, character visits, music, fireworks, and more.
August 23: Brew Kids on the Block at Gift Horse Brewing Company
A fun 1980s/90s street party featuring a list of breweries hand-picked by Jason at Gift Horse Brewing Company. Expect flying nerf darts, nearly limitless samples, dope music, and some other fun.
