Farm to Table
Start your day off at Shear Heaven Farm, spending time with the alpacas and enjoying the peacefulness of farm life. Head over to downtown York to visit various historical spots like the York County History Center, Martin Library, or First Presbyterian Church. Since you're sure to have worked up an appetite by now, you can make your way Wyndridge Farm for a meal with a view.; or if you're still in the mood for some tours, check out Brewery Tours. Finish the night off at Rockfish Public House for fresh seafood and delightful drinks.
Trains, Treats & Treasures
There's nothing like a themed ride on the historic Northern Central Railway of York; hop aboard and ride from New Freedom to Glen Rock immersing yourself in the history and landscapes of York County. Once that's over, grab your next meal at the Markets at Shrewsbury for Amish produce, Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine, and fantastic desserts. Load onto the Brew Bus for an adventure with Brewery Tours for a few hours, until it's time for your Wine & Wicks class at White Clover Farm. Here, you're able to make your own candle while sipping on your favorite wine.
Tours & Tastings
Begin your trip with a tour of the Goodridge Freedom Center or other historic sites throughout downtown York. After that, meet your Taste2Tour guide who will take you on a culinary adventure to several locally owned restaurants, sampling some of their best dishes in a fun and relaxed environment. White Clover Farm is your next stop to check out the farmstand-- trust us, farmstand is a vast understatement. Also at White Clover, you can get your creative juices flowing with Wine & Wicks, a class in which you can sip your favorite chardonnay while handcrafting your own candle.
Senior Fun in the Sun(rise Soap Co.)
York County, PA has incredible opportunities for fun no matter your age. From great food and Amish delicacies at the Markets at Shrewsbury to indulging in the robust history of the area at the York County History Center. When you're full of food and knowledge, you can head to the Turkey Hill Experience for dessert. Whether you're interested in the iced tea and ice cream tastings or you're ready to create your own frozen flavor, this is the place for you. Now that your creative juices are flowing, pop over to Sunrise Soap Co. to create your soap, face masks, lip balms, and more. Not interested in creating your own goodies? The Northern Central Railway of York is a great stop for those who want to sit down and relax, letting the tracks decide their destination.
Festive Bites & Holiday Delights
You're sure to have a great morning when you start out at the Markets at Shrewsbury, enjoying delicious breakfast, fresh produce, and Pennsylvania Dutch desserts. Now that you've fueled up, head over to the Warehime-Myers Mansion to view the beautifully decorated Christmas Trees, festive decor, and more inside this 1913 neo-classical gem. After exploring Hanover, you'll want to grab dinner at Wyndridge Farm for farm-to-table deliciousness. Bright Nights is your next stop; dazzle yourselves with millions of dancing lights set up in WellSpan Park. The next day, start your holiday shopping at Christmas Tree Hill in the Mansion.
