Weather
York County’s climate is characterized by our hot, humid summers and our moderately cold winters. Each of the four seasons brings its own special beauty to our region.
In the spring and fall, temperatures average around the mid-50s (Fahrenheit), while the winter months see average temperatures in the mid-30s. Summer brings the heat with temperatures climbing into the 80s.
We have rain year-round here, with most months seeing a little over a week’s worth of rainy days. It snows mainly in January and February, with snow occasionally coming as early as November and staying as late as April.
Comfortable days in the spring and fall are perfect for a walk on the rail trail or touring wineries, with pear blossoms and red buds flowering in the spring and the reds and golds of autumn’s changing leaves.
Pack your cross-country skis for wintertime fun, or rent a boat and enjoy the lakes and rivers of our region in the summer heat.
No matter your favorite season, York County always has something exciting to offer!
