Explore York's mission is to maximize tourism expenditures and their economic impact in York County, PA, through comprehensive tourism sales and marketing programs.

Our Vision is for a York County where tourism is recognized for the value of its economic impact and its role in raising the profile of York County as a sought-after destination.

Explore York is the Official Tourist Promotion Agency for York County and is accredited by the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP). For more information about our economic impact, our board of directors, or the history of our organization, please see our fact sheet.

Explore York assists member businesses with tourism development by providing a wide variety of services, including marketing support, website and travel guide listings, social media posts, training seminars, educational opportunities, networking events, and much more.

For three years in a row, visitors spent more than $1 billion in York County annually and the tourism industry employed more than 6,500 people as of 2020.
