Spring Valley County Park
Spring Valley County Park spans 868 acres across Shrewsbury, Springfield, and North Hopewell Townships. The landscape features a mix of old agricultural fields, some still adorned with hand-built stone walls, and an uneven-aged forest. Meandering through the park is the East Branch of the Codorus Creek, adding to its natural beauty.
The park derives its name from the “Valley of Springs,” a phrase found in several poems by Lee Anderson, a nationally recognized poet laureate of Pennsylvania who resided in the area that is now the park.
