Are you ready to say goodbye to 2023 and hello to 2024? We’ve gathered a few ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve all around York County, PA.

For the Youngsters

Keystone Kidspace invites you to bring the entire family out for a kid-friendly celebration. Activities include a ball drop (1 p.m.), snowball fight (2 p.m.), dance party as you watch celebrations around the world (all day), plus resolution fire tiles (all day), and other surprises. Purchase a day pass online or at the front desk when you arrive. All activities are included with admission.

L&E Playhouse is hosting a family-friendly event for New Year's Eve (11 am.-1 p.m.). Activities include face painting, crafts, treats, and a countdown and ball drop at 12 noon. Tickets are limited due to capacity restrictions so early booking is recommended.

Dining Out

The Public House at The Markets at Hanover is hosting a NYE Brunch 12 noon-4 p.m. featuring live music from The Jedzons, performing an array of tunes from multiple musical genres.

At the Glen Rock Mill Inn, start your dinner with a glass of complimentary champagne, followed by a delicious five-course prix fixe menu. You'll choose a starter, entrée, and dessert from multiple options and their talented chefs will prepare an hors d'oeuvres and intermezzo course. Seatings are available 5-9 p.m.

Gift Horse Brewing Company invites you to pre-game prior to the festivities at Continental Square with their selection of craft beers, local liquors, and great food, with Hot Slop Boogie Bop spinning great tunes 6-9 p.m.

Reserve your table now for a festive and celebratory evening at Victor's Italian Restaurant this New Year's Eve. The dining room will be serving dinner 5-9 p.m. and reservations are strongly suggested.

Bowling

Laser Alleys has three different party options for NYE glow bowling:

  • Party #1:  4:30-7 p.m.
  • Party #2:  7:30-10 p.m.
  • Party #3:  10:30 p.m.-1 a.m. includes a champagne toast at midnight

Suburban Bowlerama is also offering three different party options:

  • Friends & Family Party:   1-3:30 p.m.
  • Fun Times Family Party:  4:30-7 p.m.
  • NYE Celebration Party:  8 p.m.-12 midnight 

Community Celebrations

See the White Rose Drop in York City:  Ring in 2024 in the heart of the City of York. Grab a spot in Continental Square for the midnight white rose drop and fireworks show. Enjoy live music with RalphReal and the Family Jam Band, DJ ConFusion, and DJEazyBoi starting at 9:30 p.m. before the clock strikes midnight. 

Dillsburg Pickles:  The Dillsburg Community Association has planned two celebrations this year. At Dillsburg Elementary School (202 S Chestnut St, Dillsburg, PA 17019) beginning 4 p.m., enjoy food and kids games, with a “baby pickle drop” at 7 p.m. followed by bingo 7:30-11:30 p.m. Just a short walk away in the Ace Hardware parking lot (159 S Baltimore St, Dillsburg, PA 17019), entertainment with Buckskin Whiskey kicks off 9 p.m. through midnight, which is followed by the almost-world-famous pickle drop and fireworks. Participating food vendors include Trailer Trash Chili and Dogz, Kay Melts, Derby Dash Kettle Corn, Choco L’ more.

Red Lion:  Celebrate the new year as the community raises the Lion.  Activities include music, confetti cannons, and free noisemakers, 10 p.m.-12:30 a.m. at Center Square.

First Night Hellam:  Ring in the New Year at Hellam’s annual family-friendly celebration, 7 p.m.-12 midnight. This free event includes family-friendly activities for all ages, music, food, raffles, and the annual Shoe Drop at midnight! Activities are held in the area of the Trinity United Church of Christ and the Fire Company, 163-200 E. Market Street, Hellam, PA 17406.

Feeling Fancy?

In the mood to get all dressed up? Reserve your spot at the Wyndham Garden York’s “All That Glitters NYE Bash.” Doors swing open at 8 p.m. for a sumptuous buffet 8:30-10 p.m., two-hour open bar 9-11 p.m., indulgent sweets and coffee bar 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m., and a midnight champagne toast. Let your spirit soar on the dance floor with Vertigo Vultures. Special rates for overnight stays include late check-out and a full breakfast.
