Members of the media are invited to attend and cover a Cultural Fair on Friday, October 2, from 4–6:30 p.m. along N. Pershing Avenue near the York County History Center. Rescheduled from July 4, the event is part of York County’s America 250 celebration and will bring together local businesses, community organizations, and families for an afternoon of fun and community connection.

Explore York is sponsoring free activities including Maple Donuts, alpaca visits, balloon twisting, face painting, a bounce house, and crafts. Cultural Fair vendors and community organizations will also be on hand.

At 4:30 p.m., attendees are invited to a special bell dedication, “The Energy of York County,” by Chelsea Foster.

“We’re excited to have the Explore York team on hand to celebrate America 250 with the community,” said Melissa Beaverson, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Explore York. “From alpacas and free donuts to crafts, family activities, and local vendors, there will be plenty to see and do. It’s a great opportunity to have some fun and celebrate the people and organizations that make York County special.”

The Cultural Fair is free and open to the public and will take place rain or shine.
