The Lincoln Highway Conference Association will bring visitors from across the country to York County June 21–27, 2026, for its annual conference celebrating America’s first coast-to-coast highway.

The weeklong event will highlight the region’s history, arts, culture, and tourism through exhibits, seminars, tours, and special events open to the public. Registration and admission fees apply for select activities.

“This conference is an incredible opportunity to showcase York County’s rich history, vibrant downtowns, and welcoming communities to visitors from across the nation,” said Laura Wagner. “Hosting this event allows us to celebrate the Lincoln Highway’s legacy while driving tourism and visitor engagement throughout our area.”

Featured events include:

  • The Road to Independence Art Exhibition at the York College Gunter-Smith Center for Community Engagement from June 5–26, featuring artwork inspired by locations along the Lincoln Highway. Free admission.

  • A Lincoln Highway-themed book exhibit at In Between Pages in York’s Royal Square District from June 5–30.

  • Historic neon signs from the Modernaire Motel and Lee’s Diner on display at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum.

  • The Great Wagon Road Poker Run on Saturday, June 27, co-hosted by Main Street Hanover and Explore York.
