Driving Tourism and Economic Growth-- The multi-day event will be headquartered at Heritage Hills Resort June 21-24, 2027

Explore York is excited to announce it has been selected as the official host destination for the 2027 Annual Conference of the Pennsylvania Bus Association (PBA). The multi-day event will bring approximately 170–200 motorcoach operators, travel suppliers, and industry partners from across the region to York County, generating meaningful economic impact and showcasing the destination’s strengths in group travel.

The conference will be headquartered at Heritage Hills Resort, a full-service property offering more than 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, on-site dining, and resort-style amenities. Its central location and accessibility make it an ideal hub for attendees traveling by motorcoach or car.

Hosting the PBA Annual Conference is expected to deliver significant economic benefits to York County. Events of this scale typically generate hundreds of hotel room nights, along with increased spending at local restaurants, attractions, retail businesses, and transportation services. The event is projected to generate more than a quarter of a million dollars in estimated economic impact (EEI). Beyond direct visitor spending, the conference will create long-term value by introducing group travel decision-makers to York County, encouraging future tour bookings and repeat visitation.

“Securing the PBA Annual Conference is a strong win for York County,” said Laura Wagner, President of Explore York. “This event not only brings immediate economic activity to our hotels and small businesses but also positions our destination in front of key industry leaders who influence group travel itineraries for years to come.”

Following a competitive bid process, Explore York was selected for its collaborative approach, comprehensive planning support, and the wide range of experiences available throughout the county. From historic landmarks and cultural attractions to outdoor recreation and a growing culinary scene, York County offers compelling options for group itineraries.

Explore York will enhance the conference experience through curated programming, including dine-around events, off-site receptions, and familiarization (FAM) tours. These experiences will introduce attendees to the region’s unique attractions and provide firsthand insight into why York County is an attractive stop for group tours.

“Our team is focused on creating meaningful connections between tour operators and the experiences that make York County special,” said Morgan Madanick, Director of Sales at Explore York. “By hosting PBA, we’re not only delivering a successful conference—we’re opening the door for future group business that supports our local partners and strengthens our visitor economy.”

“Hosting this conference is about more than a single event,” Wagner added. “It’s an investment in York County’s tourism economy and a chance to build lasting partnerships that will benefit our community well into the future.”
