Appell Center for the Performing Arts: For some great jazz music, head to Downtown York on the First Friday of each month to enjoy Jazz in the City at the Studio in the Strand at the Appell Center. Tickets are only $10 in advance, $15 at the door, and free for students with student ID.

Victor’s Italian Restaurant: Each Friday night, Victor’s Italian Restaurant features live jazz in their unique renovated church location. Order a big plate of pasta and a glass of wine to complete the perfect night out. For the monthly lineup, check out the Explore York Calendar of Events.

 

Free Community Concerts

The annual Box Lunch Revue concert series takes place in Cherry Lane Park (behind Central Market) in downtown York every Tuesday and Thursday, May through August. You'll find a variety of York County middle and high school jazz ensembles during the month of May; click here for the school schedule. Follow the York City Special Events Facebook page for the remaining season schedule. Concerts are free and open to the public! It's a great opportunity to grab lunch and enjoy some sweet sounds.

Springettsbury Township's annual Sounds of Summer concerts are held Wednesdays and Sundays, June through August, with a wide variety of genres represented, including jazz. You can find the 2024 season schedule here. Concerts are held in the ampitheater and are free!
