All ages welcome at Crist Fields fence dedication ceremony and celebration.

YORK, PA – Panthers Select Softball welcomes the community to join in a Home Run Derby to dedicate their new fence installation made possible through the York County Tourism Grant Program. In addition to a friendly hitting competition, between innings activities include music, prizes, entertainment, and local food trucks.

Dedicated to helping student athletes play softball at a higher level, Panthers Select Softball is a youth travel softball organization. Supporting eleven teams with players aged 18 and under, Crist Fields, their home complex, is maintained through the support of local families and volunteers.

“We are fortunate to own a five-field complex nestled on 25 acres in Manchester Township. In addition to practices, clinics, and showcases, we host eight to 10 tournaments a year which attract teams from across the state of Pennsylvania as well as from West Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and Maryland.” said Panthers Select Softball Vice-President Dan Weigle. “We are proud to be a partner with Explore York and excited to continue our partnership and attract visitors to the local York Community.”

All activities are open to the public. The derby begins at 6:00 pm at Crist Fields located at 441 Emig Road in York, Pennsylvania.
