Explore York announces the launch of a Military Appreciation Cultural Trail on Friday, November 10, 2023. Created to pay tribute to those who have or who are currently serving our country, the self-guided tour will support York County's heroes who inspire, and assist others through giving, training, and entrepreneurship. Participants include Aviator Brew Hub, Glenn Hope Care Farm, Heart of Hanover Trails, Lebanon Cemetery, Roots for Boots and Public House at the Markets located inside The Markets at Hanover, Pop Crafts, Prospect Hill Cemetery, Refillism, and the Veterans Memorial Gold Star Healing & Peace Garden.
The public is invited to attend the trail launch celebration at veteran-owned Aviator Brew Hub located at 18 South Main Street in Stewartstown. Networking and light refreshments begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by brief remarks by Explore York President Laura Wagner and special guests. "We are excited for this opportunity to share the stories, and to show our support of the many local, Veteran-owned businesses that choose to call York County, Pennsylvania, home.
From 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., participants are encouraged to help package care items and sign thank you cards that will be sent to York County residents serving overseas. At 1:00 p.m. Explore York is hosting a Familiarization Tour via Bailey Coach to the Veterans Memorial Gold Star Healing and Peace Garden, Prospect Hill Cemetery, and Lebanon Cemetery. Space is limited and RSVPs are required prior to the event.
