Spirit Lovers guide to the Keystone Craft Spirits Trail
Stretching across several county lines, traveling the Keystone Craft Spirits Trail will take more than one weekend. Here are some suggestions for breaking up the trail into smaller servings. Make sure you check in at each location using your Good Libations Trails Digital Passport so you can earn some sweet swag!
York County
Distilleries to Visit: Old Republic Distillery, Crostwater Distilled Spirits, and Feelin' Cockey
The perfect place to start along the Keystone Craft Spirits Trail is Old Republic Distillery, York County’s first distillery since Prohibition. You can find them mixing up fun cocktails or keeping it neat inside Morning Sun Marketplace.
Heading north, Crostwater Distilled Spirits is home to some award-winning spirits! Their Gin and Rum have both won medals from the American Distilling Institute and The Fifty Best in New York. Taste them for yourself and see what all the buzz is about.
While you're in the area, check out Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society. While not a currently functioning distillery, you don't want to miss this stop where you can learn all about the history of distilling and Pennsylvania’s frontier past at Dill’s Tavern and see the historic equipment that made York County the Birthplace of American Whiskey.
Down in the southwest corner of our county you'll find Feelin' Cockey, a distillery celebrating the rich history of Prohibition, moonshine, and fantastic flavor combinations. Nestled inside the Markets at Hanover, you don't want to miss this little speakeasy or their rotating menu of exotic meats, like alligator, kangaroo, and camel!
Harrisburg & Lancaster Area
Distilleries to Visit: Spirits Distillery Inc and Stoll & Wolfe Distillery
Spirits Distillery Inc is the newest addition to the already exciting Mount Hope Estate, home to Mount Hope Winery, Swashbuckler Brewing Company, and the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Travelers with an adventurous spirit are sure to enjoy!
If you’re looking for award-winning rye whiskey and bourbon, our easternmost distillery is the place for you. Stoll & Wolfe Distillery is born of a distilling history that dates back to America’s colonial past, and their dedication to those traditions has resulted in some truly exceptional spirits.
Gettysburg Region
Distilleries to Visit: Lake House Distilling Co
Lake House Distilling Co is a family owned and operated distillery featuring handcrafted spirits, as well as wine and beer. With regularly scheduled food trucks, you're sure to find some fun and funky flavor combinations!
