Wild & Uncommon Weekend
Discover the wild side of York County at Wild & Uncommon Weekend at The Horn Farm Center
The Horn Farm Center is a bio-regional hub for discovery rooted in the land while connecting people with nature in fun and meaningful ways.
Their mission is to foster ecological learning through land stewardship, community partnership, and hands-on experiences. Their vision is a world where people live in reciprocity with nature and that their agricultural practices revive ecosystems and human well-being.
During this exciting weekend, visitors will discover the wild side of York County, PA at the Wild & Uncommon Weekend! This weekend event celebrates local food, makers, and outdoor adventure across the Susquehanna region. But the real star of the show – the pawpaw! North America's largest native fruit, with a flavor somewhere between banana and mango, this indigenous to PA fruit is growing wild right here, along York County’s Susquehanna Riverlands!
Now in its third year, Wild & Uncommon Weekend grew out of the popular York County Pawpaw Festival at the Horn Farm Center. Local businesses have teamed up with the Horn Farm Center to expand the previous festival’s spirit, offering visitors a taste of the food, craft, and nature-based experiences that make this region – and this event – one-of-a-kind.
Whether you're looking for family-friendly activities, a deeper connection with the outdoors, or authentic local flavors and handmade goods, Wild & Uncommon Weekend has something for everyone to enjoy.
