Enjoy a week of summer fun at the Mason Dixon Fair in Delta, held annually during the first full week of July. Livestock shows, carnival rides, classic contests and family traditions bring the community together for a quintessential summer celebration.
For generations, the Mason Dixon Fair has been a summertime tradition in southern York County, bringing together the sights, sounds and friendly competition that make a county fair special. The week is packed with something for everyone—from farm and home exhibits to livestock shows, tractor pulls and, of course, plenty of carnival rides.
For families, the fair is a chance to slow down and enjoy some old-fashioned fun. Wander through the livestock exhibits, check out the Farm & Home displays, cheer on contestants and see what local exhibitors have been working on all year. There’s a little friendly competition around every corner, including the Miss Mason and Mr. Dixon Contest and some decidedly less formal contests.
And then there are the contests you’ll be talking about long after the fair is over. Test your appetite at the Watermelon Eating Contest or watch contestants take on the ultimate summer challenge at the Milk Chugging Contest. It’s the kind of good-natured silliness that makes a county fair memorable—and keeps families coming back year after year.
No fair would be complete without the roar of a tractor pull, the excitement of the annual parade and the colorful lights and sounds of the midway. In 2026, the fair added even more excitement with the introduction of a rodeo, bringing a new Western twist to this longtime summer tradition.
Whether you’re returning to relive childhood memories or bringing the next generation for their first taste of fair fun, the Mason Dixon Fair is a quintessential summer experience. Come hungry, bring the family and get ready for rides, contests, farm life and plenty of memories in Delta.
