A Field of Remembrance
Overview
Experience A Field of Remembrance as thousands of American flags surround the Eternal Light Peace Memorial in a moving display of memory on the Gettysburg battlefield.
Created by Gettysburg Foundation, the display will commemorate the more than 51,000 Americans who were killed, wounded, captured or missing during the Battle of Gettysburg. Each sponsored flag represents remembrance of the fallen, supports our preservation and education work in partnership with the National Park Service and invites visitors to reflect on the human cost of the Civil War.
Visit the Eternal Light Peace Memorial, walk among the flags and remember those affected by the battle. Experience one of Gettysburg's most meaningful commemorations this year.
Flag sponsorships will be accepted through Veterans Day. To sponsor commemorative flags, visit here.
Proceeds support the Gettysburg Foundation's work, in partnership with the National Park Service, to preserve these historic places and inspire understanding of sacrifice, citizenship and the enduring responsibilities of democracy.
