The word “rumspringa,” loosely translated as “running around,” is derived from the rich Pennsylvania German heritage of Lancaster County. A popularized view of “rumspringa” reflects on the term used to describe a temporary period when young members of Amish communities start dating and going places on their own, exploring activities in the “outside world” that their elders may not approve of. All of this happens before making the decision to officially join the church and remain true to their faith, as most do. Similarly, the brewers at Rumspringa Brewery have chosen to remain true to their brewing techniques by hand-crafting beers using locally grown products and painstaking processing, rather than following the mainstream applications of large production facilities.
Rumspringa Brewery invites you to take a break to relax, unwind and sow your own wild oats with the best in craft-brewed beers in the heart of Lancaster County!
