Friends & Fun Festival Was a Celebration of All "Under the Sea"
The Spring Grove Area High School's Friends and Fun Club, in collaboration with the Special Education Department, planned an amazingly fun day. This year's theme was "Under the Sea." Student Caleb L'Etoile drew the winning design for this year's Festival t-shirt, which looked fabulous on everyone!

SGASD Mini-THON Raises $84,050.14 for Penn State Children's Hospital
SGAMS Odyssey of the Mind Team Wins 2nd Place at State Finals
They advance to the World Finals in May. SGASD had six additional teams compete in the State Finals, and all of them placed in the top ten. Our Rockets did such an amazing job!
Inaugural Spring Grove Band Day
Band students in grades 7-12 held their first Spring Grove Band Day! They worked with Dr. Mark Lortz, Director of Bands at Stevenson University.
SGI Cultural Day 2024
Spring Grove Area Intermediate sixth-grade students expanded their knowledge and taste palates during their annual Cultural Day, organized by teacher Mr. Chris Myers. Our four great presenters and donations from local businesses made this possible!
Elementary Night of Music
Students in grades 1 - 4 at each elementary school hosted a Night of Music to show their families what they've been learning in music class this year. Thank you to Music Teacher, Mrs. Katherine Tackett, for your passion and hard work, evident with every note sung and smile shared on stage!
Mock Trial Team Wins Second in the State
Congratulations to the Spring Grove Area High School Mock Trial Team on their outstanding performance at the PA State Championships, where they clinched second place! This marks Spring Grove's first-ever appearance in the State Finals. They competed against some of the largest public and private schools in the state and came out on top!

Paradise Kindergarten Students Become Word Detectives
Mrs. McGuigan's kindergarten class at Paradise Elementary was officially sworn in as Word Detectives by Officer Chetaitis, our School Resource Officer. Students took a special Secret Stories pledge, promising to uncover the hidden secrets within words.

SGE Promotes Reading & Literacy with New Book Vending Machine
This exciting addition to the school was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Spring Grove Area Educational Fund and was filled with books by the SGE PTO! This project allows students to earn books, foster a love for reading, and increase literacy rates among the SGE community.

Rocket Wellness Center for Staff
Spring Grove Area School District staff and substitutes have access to a dedicated health center in the district with 24/7 access to a primary care provider. The Rocket Wellness Center represents a tremendous opportunity to improve the general health of our community through easier access to care that will be free or low cost for the employee and spend fewer taxpayer dollars, thus giving us more money to dedicate to student education.
