    The York County Resource Recovery Center is a waste-to-energy facility that uses garbage as fuel to power a steam turbine to produce electricity. Visitors are given an overview of the process of waste-to-energy followed by a walking tour which includes the Tipping Floor, Turbine-Generator Room, and Control Room.

    Please note: Tours start at the Education center off of Blackgum Ct. Directions to the Education Center are provided upon registration.
