Mark and Val Wines
1205 E. Philadelphia St., Inside Penn Market, York, PA 17401
Mark & Val Wines were created from a love for wine and hobby. We produce high-quality small-batch wine. Our wines are crafted by Vintner Mark Rhodes, using the finest grapes from York County, PA, and surrounding counties. We buy grapes from small vineyards, then produce, bottle, and label the wines under Mark & Val Wines. A black-owned winery.
We're small at Mark & Val Wines but take great pride in making the best wine we can. Since we are small, we make a large number of varieties. One of our most popular wines is our Blood Orange Sangria in our sweet wines and Diablo Rojo in the dry wines.
Our Urban Winery
We picked up our first wine-making kit eight years ago, and the hobby of making wine in our home led to one big problem, we ran out of room in our basement. While we handed some out to friends and family over the years, we finally decided to look into getting a limited winery license so we could sell the wine legally. We applied and got it! Our first location is our basement in our home, with our second at a more prominent location. We are an Urban Winery located in the City of York, PA. One of Pennsylvania's first Black-Owned wineries.
