Join Mayor Helfrich in rebuilding York's earliest photographic history. By using some detective work, he has been assembling a catalogue of the works of York's first established photographer, and one of the first African American photographic artists in the United States, Glenalvin J. Goodridge. Bring your unidentified early cased images. Maybe you have a treasure that could add to the world's knowledge of this early photographic entrepreneur of York.

The York County Writers' Roundtable networks writers and researchers of York County and regional history. The group meets on the first Thursday of every quarter at 7 p.m. at the Historical Society Museum, Library & Archives at 250 E. Market St. This event is free and open to the public. Hope to see you there!
