Overview

Our Emerging Artist Showcase features artists, duos or groups who have not yet become regulars on the festival or concert series circuits. In 2020, since the festival is postponed, Susquehanna Folk keeps the music coming by taking the showcase online!

FOR ARTISTS: Apply by July 25! We invite applications from acoustic musicians playing roots-based styles such as folk, blues, bluegrass, Americana, world music, jazz, country, folk-rock, Celtic, and the like. Five finalists will be selected to participate in the virtual showcase on August 9.

During the showcase, each act will play a 15-minute live-stream set from their own location and then participate in an interview with a moderator. A panel of judges will evaluate each act as they play, and an audience vote will also be considered. The winner will be announced at the end of the evening, and will receive a first-place prize of $500!

FOR AUDIENCES: On August 9 at 7 p.m. sign on to watch 5 top-notch bands vie for the first-place prize of $500! The audience will get a vote too! The event will include performances plus artist interviews.
