    Instructor Deb Smith explores life in Germany before 1933 and the factors that led to the Holocaust. This course will cover the period from the Weimar Republic (1919-1933) up to the start of WWII in 1938. Topics covered include the appointment of Adolph Hitler as German chancellor; the establishment of the first concentration camps; and the effects of regulations that restricted public and private life for Jews.

    This is a 4-part class that will take place September 9, 12, 16, & 19, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. There is a $20 registration fee for the class (includes all 4 sessions). Registration can be done either on our online calendar via our event website, by phone, 717-632-5183, or at the Adult Desk.

Deb Smith is a retired teacher from the Hanover Public School District and holds a masters degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
