The L4LPA golf tournament is being organized to help provide much-needed funds to advance cutting-edge research underway to treat ALK positive cancer.
L4LPA's founder first became aware of ALK Positive lung cancer when he received a Stage IV diagnosis in April 2020 at age 37. After an extensive investigation into existing support organizations, he set out to co-found Links for Lungs PA to help provide not only additional resources, but a patient voice to work alongside the research community.
This year's golf tournament will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Heritage Hills Golf Course in York, Pennsylvania. Proceeds from the event will be directed to fund a translational research project and clinical trial of a novel cancer vaccine at Johns Hopkins. The groundbreaking research and clinical trials are being spearheaded by Dr. Vincent Lam, Medical Oncologist, Researcher and Assistant Professor of Medicine, who is committed to fighting ALK Positive cancer.
