The train will depart New Freedom at 11 a.m. and arrive at the event at 11:30 a.m. Then depart Glen Rock at 4 p.m. and arrive at New Freedom at 4:30 p.m. This is an all-day excursion even though the ride is only an hour long.
Enjoy a scenic ride through the beautiful countryside of York County to Glen Rock, PA, on a historic railway that dates back to the late 1820s. Ride along with a 1957 PA GP 9 (converted to GP 10 in 1979) at the only place in the world where an original Pennsylvania railroad locomotive runs on a genuine Pennsylvania rail line.
The coaches are pushed and pulled by our diesel locomotive. Please note, the train will arrive at Glen Rock where you will be able to enjoy the festival for the day and depart to New Freedom at 4:00 pm Tickets will be available to be picked up at the ticket booth in the back of the gift shop on the day of the trip. This ride does not include the Glen Rock to Larue specials that are being featured at the festival. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure.
