Christmas Magic: A Festival of Lights

Christmas Magic: A Festival of Lights at Rocky Ridge County Park has been a beloved tradition for more than four decades. You’ll enjoy more than one million twinkling LED lights and dozens of animated scenes as you venture down a half-mile stroller- and wheelchair-friendly walking trail surrounded by picturesque woods. Wander along a candy cane-lined walkway and past trees adorned with multi-colored lights while trying to spot all the characters hiding among nature. Warm up with hot cocoa and cookies and enjoy the various photo opportunities along the way. It's a magical experience for visitors of all ages!

Christmas Magic is open seven days a week starting the day after Thanksgiving through December 30 (closed December 24-25). Tickets must be purchased in advance online and will not be sold at the gate.

Did you know? Christmas Magic began in 1984 in response to the energy crisis which resulted in fewer people decorating their homes for the holidays. The first year featured 10,000 lights and DIY props.

Bright Nights York

More than three million festive lights adorn WellSpan Park this holiday season with the return of Bright Nights York, now in its second year.  Experience a spectacular version of the ballpark in the off season, Thursday through Sunday evenings starting November 20 and running through December 28 (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).  Family fun and attractions include a polar bear slide, walk-in snow globe, ornament making, letters to Santa, and more. Check the schedule for special appearances on select nights (Santa, a live reindeer, character appearances, and more). An array of lights will dance to holiday music, and a 40-foot tree on the infield crates a dazzling centerpiece.

Bonus: Several downtown York City businesses are offering discounts when you show your Bright Nights ticket. Get details here.
