YORK, PA - The York County Convention & Visitors Bureau will welcome almost 2,400 visitors this weekend when the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association's 2017 Western Regional Championship comes to town.

AAU wrestlers from around the region will converge on the Utz Arena this Saturday and Sunday for the two-day tournament. The York County CVB estimates it will generate almost $1 million in economic benefits for the community, continuing a string of sporting events that have helped fill hotel rooms and spur spending during the winter and early spring months.

Saturday's competition starts with the bantam and junior wrestlers, with midget and intermediate wrestlers following. Sunday's slate includes advanced and elite wrestlers. Action starts at 8 a.m. both days. Admission is $10 for adults each day and $5 for students.
