“WORLD’S GREATEST TRAIN MEET” STEAMS INTO YORK COUNTY 

Event brings thousands to the Expo Center ahead of the holiday season    

YORK, PA – One of York County’s favorite events, the “World’s Greatest Train Meet” returns to York County this week. Thousands of visitors from across the country will descend on the York Expo Center for this unique three-day event.

Over 9,000 people from outside the county are expected to converge upon the York Expo Center for the second of two annual shows produced by the Eastern Division of the Train Collectors Association. The public is again invited to experience this showcase of model trains that’s become one of the most anticipated events of the year for train enthusiasts. The fall meet is estimated to bring in just over $8 million in economic benefits to the local economy.

The three-day meet is reserved for members only on Thursday, October 17. The doors open to the public Friday, October 18 from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Public access is open in the dealer halls only, however, visitors may join the TCA on the spot to see the entire event.

Admission is $10 per adult, children under 18 are free with a paying adult.
