YORK, PA - The Mason-Dixon Wine Trail is proud to present its eighth annual Wine Just Off The Vine signature event, with four new wineries joining longtime favorites on a 17-stop tasting tour celebrating the fall harvest.

Wine Just Off The Vine runs the weekends of November 12-13 and 19-20. It's one of two signature events making the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail the Mid-Atlantic's Premier Year-Round Wine Destination.

Guests will receive exclusive tastings at participating locations during both weekends, as well as light food items and more. Highlights will include tastings of "nouveau" wines and wine pressed fresh from the harvest.

The Mason-Dixon Wine Trail stretches across south-central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland, sending wine lovers on a tasting adventure across some of the most beautiful spaces on the East Coast.

"Wine Just Off the Vine is a delight for wine enthusiasts and novices alike. It's a relaxing escape and a chance to learn about the intricacies of taking a grape from vine to glass directly from the creative winemakers along the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail," said Louise Heine, Destination Marketing Director for the York County Convention & Visitors Bureau, which manages the event. "If you've ever expressed any interest in the wine-making process, Wine Just Off The Vine is an experience you won't want to miss. And the best thing is you don't have to be expert on wine to enjoy this fall favorite."

The lineup features many of the stops that wine enthusiasts have come to know and love, as well as several wineries participating in Wine Just Off The Vine for the first time.

This year's event adds four wineries to the tour - Maple Lawn Winery in York County; CrossWinds Winery at Hershey and Spring Gate Vineyard and Brewery, both in Dauphin County; and Galloping Goose Vineyards in Carroll County, Maryland.

The five participating Maryland wineries - Boordy Vineyards, DeJon Vineyard, Fiore Winery, Galloping Goose Vineyards and Harford Vineyard & Winery - will all feature special themed food tastings. Local delights such as Maryland Crab Soup, Flatbread Maryland Seafood Pizza and an Old Bay Almond Rocher are among tasty dishes planned.
