The Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star’s 124th

“The Light of Hope” Session to Convene at York Expo Center June 18-20

York, PA (15 June 2018) — Sisters and brothers of the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania Order of the Eastern Star (OES) are expected to convene at the York Expo Center's Utz Arena, 334 Carlisle Ave., York, from Monday-Wednesday, June 18-20, for its 124th “The Light of Hope” Session. More than 950 delegates are expected to attend, bringing an estimated $950,494 in economic impact to the county.

The Session includes:

  • Report
  • Elections
  • Installations
  • An off-site trip to Sight & Sound Theater and Shady Maple Smorgasbord (Tuesday, June 19)

Additional events leading up to the Session will take place Saturday-Sunday, June 16-17, including but not limited to:

  • Saturday, June 16
    • Past Grand Matrons & Past Grand Patrons Dinner at Out Door Country Club
    • “Celtic Kind of Night” entertainment at York Expo Center
  • Sunday, June 17
    • Divine Worship Service, Communion, and Necrology at York Expo Center
    • Deputy Grand Matrons 2017-2018 Luncheon at Wyndham Garden
    • “A Military Ball” Grand Banquet at York Expo Center

The headquarters for the “The Light of Hope” Session is at Homewood Suites, 200 Masonic Drive, York.
