Sipping your way through the best wine, beer, and spirits is now easier than ever.
YORK, PA – Explore York, the official destination marketing organization for York County, is excited to announce the Good Libations Trails® Passport has gone digital! No more remembering a paper passport or mailing it to get your prize. Now all you need to do is sip your way to a good time.
The passport is a free program that anyone can sign up for using their smartphone. With over twenty local wineries, breweries, and distilleries included within the passport, it showcases the best of York County’s craft beverage scene in an easy, mobile-friendly way.
“We are thrilled to offer this new avenue to access the Good Libations Trails,” said Explore York President Laura Gurreri. “The Mason-Dixon Wine Trail was launched a decade ago, quickly followed by the Susquehanna Ale Trail and the Keystone Craft Spirits Trail. It was time to update how these amazing products are delivered to consumers near and far. This refresh makes it easier than ever for those over 21 to sip their way to some sweet swag and prizes.”
Visitors can visit a dedicated mobile passport landing page where they can sign-up for their Passport by providing their name, e-mail address, and mobile phone number. A link is then sent to their mobile phone, which opens the passport and directs the user to add the button icon to their home screen, where they can access it any time. There is never anything to download, and no bulky apps take up space on a user’s phone. The passport can be accessed at YorkPA.org/GLT-passport.
Once the visitor is ready to redeem their pass, they check in using a unique pin displayed at each location. After a passport holder has racked up ten check-ins, they are automatically sent fun prizes provided by Explore York.
Conversations around taking the GLT to a digital space began in late 2020. They led Explore York
Marketing Director Melissa Beaverson to reach out to a well-known technology company in the travel space, Bandwango. Bandwango technology is designed to support free and paid experiences created by destinations and marketed to visitors and locals.
