EXPLORE YORK WELCOMES RETURNING GYMNASTICS COMPETITION

YORK, PA – Explore York is excited to welcome a returning gymnastics tournament back to the area this weekend.

The Tim Weaver Battlefield Invitational gymnastics competition, hosted by Hanover Gymnastics, will twist and tumble into the county November 14 to 17 at the York Expo Arena. The invitational draws participants from boys and girls gymnastics teams across the region, with competitors hailing from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, and New York. Athletes range in age from 6 to 18 years old.

This competition is expected to attract as many as 1,600 athletes and 3,500 spectators from outside the county. These visitors are estimated to make an economic impact of over $1,478,000 to our area hotels, restaurants, and attractions.

This year marks the fourth consecutive year The Tim Weaver Battlefield Invitational will take place in York County. In addition, Sport York and Explore York are excited to announce the Tim Weaver Battlefield Invitational will return for a fifth year in 2020.
