YORK, PA - The 2018 Official York County Travel Guide is now available, and it's packed with information perfect for on-the-go visitors looking to experience iconic factory tours, the outdoors, a craft beverage scene rivaling major cities and much more.

Selected by a public vote, this year's cover features the York County Heritage Rail Trail, one of the area's most visited parks.

Stretching 21 miles from the Mason-Dixon Line into bicycle-friendly Downtown York, the Heritage Rail Trail was named Pennsylvania's Trail of the Year in 2015. The cover photo was taken in New Freedom by the borough's former train station.

"It's a fitting choice considering the York County Parks Department is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018," said Louise Heine, Destination Marketing Director for the York County Convention & Visitors Bureau. "A true gem of York County, the rail trail takes visitors through the scenic countryside, past several historic locations and into the City of York. With its combination of history and outdoor recreation, it's just one attraction York County visitors should put on their to-do list in 2018."

That list should also include the 20th Anniversary Made in America Tours Event, another top feature in this year's Travel Guide. Running June 13-16, the event showcases York County's status as the Factory Tour Capital of the World® and offers visitors the chance to see firsthand how some of their favorite products are made.

In addition to highlighting factory tours and York County's parks, the Travel Guide also includes information on the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail, Susquehanna Ale Trail and the new Keystone Craft Spirits Trail.

With 200,000 copies printed and distributed across the Mid-Atlantic Region, the Travel Guide is the recognized source of information regarding the accommodations, attractions, dining, shopping, events and more that visitors have come to love in York County.
