York Region

Wake up early enough to watch the sun rise above the mighty Susquehanna River before a morning spent exploring the Susquehanna Riverlands at Highpoint Scenic Vista, the Zimmerman Center for Heritage and Shank's Mare Outfitters. Then your first Wine Trail location of the day is Moon Dancer Winery, Cider House and Taproom, set high above the Susquehanna Riverlands, where the sweet view is complemented by crisp varieties such as Pino Grigio and cider creations. Then have lunch or a late brunch, depending on the day, at the John Wright Restaurant along the Susquehanna in Wrightsville where a majestic view and marvelous food go hand in hand. Then head south to Maple Lawn Winery, a fifth-generation farm specializing in fruit wines. Your next stop is York County's oldest winery, Naylor Wine Cellars, where from food to wine mixers, you'll also likely come away with a unique recipe to remember. Head north to the award-winning Logan's View Winery before visiting Four Springs Winery, a boutique tasting room where Fat Cat red is among the local favorites. In the evening, make reservations at nearby Glen Rock Mill Inn.

Start your day with breakfast and more inside The Markets at Shrewsbury in southern York County, where all your favorite Amish baked goods and fresh produce are found alongside an eclectic shopping experience for craft and gift items. Then head south across the historic Mason-Dixon Line for the southern swing of the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail. Start at Galloping Goose Vineyards, a country winery new to the Wine Trail this year. Make some time to walk among wooded trails and visit the pond on the grounds before heading east to DeJon Vineyard, which welcomes visitors into the cozy renovated-barn tasting room to sip and savor in a comfortable country setting. Its neighbor is Boordy Vineyards, where years of experience go into wines of exceptional quality. Speaking of experience, Fiore Winery in northern Harford County brings generations of Italian wine-making tradition to your glass, and then wrap up your day in the tasting room of Harford Vineyard & Winery. And for dinner? The delectable Wyndridge Farm craft brewing and casual dining destination in southern York County. 

 

Hanover-Gettysburg Region

This day on the Wine Trail includes must-do snack stops. Begin by sampling Thunder Ridge Vineyards, where you'll find mostly dry-style wines, and then climb into the hills outside Hanover, PA, to High Rock Winery. From there, head into town for quick stops at the Factory Outlet Stores of Utz Quality Foods and Snyder's of Hanover, and then head west into Adams County to complete your day of tasting. Hauser Estate Winery will remind you of a Napa Valley vineyard because of its unique tasting room and the quality of its wines. 

 

Hershey-Harrisburg Region

After you've visited the York County wineries, cross the historic Wrightsville-Columbia Bridge and head north to Mount Hope Winery, which is at the grounds of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Next is The Vineyard and Brewery at Hershey which combines some of the best of PA wine making and craft brewing at one location. Afterward, visit two new stops on the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail. You'll enjoy wine tastings in a beautiful barn on the secluded grounds of Spring Gate Vineyard & Brewery, then trade the rural setting for the urban CrossWinds Winery at Hershey, an avaiation-themed stop fitting for its pilot owners.
