What They're Saying About Sport York

2009 USA Judo Youth & Scholastic National Championship "It's been a terrific experience. York offers a lot; it's so close to so many destinations, and it's been great for our families who have been able to go into Washington, D.C., Hershey, and enjoy all of the great things in York as well. We've also really enjoyed the people; it's a terrific community."

2008 National Horseshoe Pitchers Association World Tournament. "As Paul Stewart, President of the NHPA stated, the York County Convention and Visitors Bureau has set the bar incredibly high for any future World Tournament hosts. The 2008 World Tournament in York, PA is the event against which all future and past tournaments will be measured."

2008 USA Taekwondo National Qualifier #1. "What we from USA Taekwondo liked about the York County area for our NationalQualifier is the ease of access for athletes and coaches from the New York, New Jersey, New England, Virginia and Maryland areas. Plus, the cost of doing business in York is very economical and very appealing."

2003 & 2008 South Atlantic Regional Figure Skating Championships. "Hosting the US Figure Skating Regional Competition in 2002 was an overwhelming challenge for a small skating club. The CVB arranged hotel contract for the 1000 competitors and families that came to the York area and assisted in finding volunteers for the 10-day event. When we discussed the possibility of hosting the competition again in 2007, the response from the CVB was fast and efficient. Thanks to their help, we won the bid and brought this event back to York in 2007."

White Rose Figure Skating Club

2005 - 2010 Keystone State Summer Games. "The combination of quality facilities, volunteer support from the local community and service from the York County Convention & Visitors Bureau were the three key factors in the success of the 25th Anniversary of the Keystone State Games."

The Brute Scholastic Showcase is quickly becoming one of the premier scholastic events in the nation. This year we continued to build upon the talent that helps to make this tournament a premier event.

I am glad you were able to stop by while the event was going on, as you can see with the room we will no have to expand the tournament the possibilities are endless.
