Want to get to know York County? Here's a great sampler itinerary to get the flavor of our destination for your readers and get the creative juices flowing for a customized itinerary tailored perfectly to create an outstanding story your readers (and your editors) will love.

Day 1

Morning
Start your three-day trip inside Harley-Davidson Motor Company's largest vehicle operations (harley-davidson.com/experience) in York, PA. See where Softail, Touring, CVOTM and Trike motorcycles are made, and discover why Travel + Leisure has called this one of the World's Coolest Factory Tours!

Lunch/Afternoon
Head to York's Mudhook Brewing Company (mudhookbrewing.com) on the Susquehanna Ale Trail (susquehannaaletrail.com) for lunch and a microbrew, then experience how artisan pretzels and soap are made at York City Pretzel Company (yorkcitypretzelcompany.com) and Sunrise Soap Company (sunrisesoapco.com).

Dinner
For dinner, make reservations at The Left Bank Restaurant & Bar (leftbankyork.com). Named after the famed Parisian restaurant on the Seine River, the Left Bank features a wide variety of international cuisine and an extensive martini list.

Evening (based on schedule availability)
Reserve tickets before your visit for a performance at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center (mystrandcapitol.org) in Downtown York. You'll be amazed at the big names performing Broadway-style shows, comedy and live music.

Day 2

Breakfast
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at Central Market House (centralmarketyork.com). Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, you'll find vendors selling everything from burritos and bakery items to fresh meats and veggies!

Morning
Tour and learn at the Colonial Complex (yorkheritage.org) where York's Colonial Court House has been reconstructed next to the Heritage Rail Trail (yorkcountytrails.org) and near the preserved 1741 Plough Tavern, General Gates House and Bobb Log House for an immersion into what life was like during the Colonial era.

Afternoon
Depart for Hanover Junction on a faithful replica of a Civil War-era train at Steam Into History (steamintohistory.com). Journey along the Rail Trail with period re-enactors and enjoy historical programming as you retrace Abraham Lincoln's journey to make his Gettysburg Address.

Dinner/Evening
Dine in the Tasting Room of Wyndridge Farm (wyndridge.com), a craft beverage and special events venue radiating rustic elegance set amid beautiful, rolling southern York County countryside. Sample Wyndridge's craft beer, soda, wine and specialty Crafty Cider.

Day 3

Morning/Brunch
Start your Sunday experience along the Susquehanna River with brunch at the John Wright Restaurant (jwrpa.com) in Wrightsville featuring a breathtaking view of the point where Confederate forces would go no farther in the Civil War. Equally impressive is the food sourced locally for the freshest ingredients.

Midday
Make a reservation for a kayak rental at Shank's Mare Outfitters (shanksmare.com), your one-stop shop for gear, trips and knowhow. Paddle at your leisure among the yachts and other craft that also ply the waters of Lake Clarke - a perfect introduction to the river corridor.

Afternoon
Sip, Savor and Explore on the Mason-Dixon Wine Trail (masondixonwinetrail.com). Discover the vibrant views and crisp Pinot Grigio at Moon Dancer Vineyards & Winery, then swing south to experience the boutique-style tasting room at Four Springs Winery and sample York County's oldest winery at Naylor Wine Cellars.
