YORK, PA- York County will once again host thousands of street rods, muscle cars, custom cars, trucks and specialty vehicles for the 42nd Annual National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals East Plus June 5-7 at the York Expo Center.

Nearly 4,000 vehicles will come - and in many cases return - from across the eastern United States and beyond for Street Rod Nationals East Plus, marking the 35th year the event has been held in York County. The NSRA Street Rod Nationals East Plus will bring an estimated $8.7 million in total economic benefits for the York County economy.

The annual parade of Street Rods through Downtown York will kick off at noon Friday and activities throughout the three-day event at the York Expo Center are open to the public. Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 per adult and $6 per child 6-12 years old, and there is no cost for younger children accompanied by an adult.

Also an annual part of Street Rod Nationals East Plus, more than 130 manufacturers and dealers of specialty automotive equipment will display and sell parts, accessories and supplies, and Sunday will feature the Circle of Winners at the York Expo Center. The net worth of the vehicles on display throughout the three-day event is estimated at more than $100 million.

A pinstriping event will return for this year's Street Rod Nationals East Plus and will include auctions of pinstriped items. All auction proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish of Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

"Summer in York County begins with the roar of Street Rod engines as thousands of friends make their way back to us, ushering in what has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for visiting participants and local residents alike," said Anne Druck, President of the York County CVB. "It is a testament to the strength of York County's tourism industry and our entire community's hospitality that the National Street Rod Association has continued to choose York for Street Rod Nationals East Plus for 35 years."

Street Rod Nationals East Plus is produced by the National Street Rod Association, the "fun with cars" sanctioning organization with worldwide membership. For more information, visit www.nsra-usa.com.
