YORK, PA- The York County Convention & Visitors Bureau welcomes the start of the Celtic Classic Dog Show today at the York Expo Center. Thousands of top dogs will compete through Sunday in this event, which is expected to generate a total economic impact for York County of approximately $5.3 million.

The Celtic Classic is comprised of kennel clubs from York, Lancaster and Delaware counties. Since 2008, the Celtic Classic has grown to attract approximately 8,000 entries annually.

The five-day event provides a great way for residents of York County and elsewhere in the Mid-Atlantic region to learn about showing dogs and see many different breeds being primped and pampered for the judges.

Admission is free to all buildings that will be used during the show, making this the perfect opportunity for parents and others to get out of the house for an engaging and memorable experience amid the warmer weather of spring. For further information, visit www.thecelticclassic.com.
