Published: 08/15/2016

Bike Night

Hop on your hog and join the thousands of bikers who will rumble into York County for the 22nd Annual York Bike Night, a yearly celebration perfect for moto-lovers.

The sound of revving engines will fill the air September 23 for the annual Bike Night Parade, which departs from the York Fairgrounds and ends as the ultimate street party in Downtown York's Continental Square. Watch in awe, or join in, too!

Sportsters will highlight this year's parade, with up to 25 leading the cavalcade and the winners of the People's Choice Award on display in a special viewing area on the square.

After the parade, enjoy live music at multiple locations and many food and merchandise vendors.

You'll have no trouble making your motorcycle weekend as memorable as possible. York County is a Harley Country and the place to see how these extraordinary bikes come to life.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company's Vehicle Operations is right here in York, and it's annual Open House is September 22-24. There are lots of things to do and see during the event, including self-guided factory tours, demo rides on model year 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycles (valid motorcycle license required), motorcycle stunt shows, live music, 5-dealer shopping area, food vendors and more!

Afterward, treat your motorcycle to some new accessories from 1st Capital Harley-Davidson. The store carries everything Harley, from bikes and accessories to clothes and collectibles.

If you're looking to mix things up a bit, get into town a little bit early and experience the 251st Annual York Fair, running September 9-18. This year's Fair will feature everything from pig races to butter sculptures. Not to mention, huge names in entertainment, such as Chase Rice, Jeff Dunham, and Alabama.

Or just set out and explore the scenery of York County's countryside, where you'll find rolling farmland, bucolic vineyards and plenty of park land.

After riding around on your chopper all day, cool off at the indoor and outdoor pools at Wyndham Garden York.  This comfortable stay is just a short ride from the Fairgrounds and Downtown York, making it the perfect weekend retreat.

For a quainter hideaway, head down the road to the historic Emig Mansion. This bed and breakfast's stained glass windows and marble tiles will take you back to 1850 when it was built.

You won't go hungry in York County, either.

Quaker Steak & Lube is right along U.S. Route 30, part of the historic Lincoln Highway. You'll feel at home at this car and motorcycle themed restaurant famous for its wings.

Coombs Tavern is the place for delectable prime rib. Or it's BBQ you're craving, check out Alexander Family Restaurant. Award-winning ribs come straight out of the restaurant's charcoal and hickory wood barrel smoker.

BBQ goes pretty well with beer, so when the sun goes down, head over to Mudhook Brewing Company, one of the stops on the Susquehanna Ale Trail, for exceptional craft beer.

Whatever your biking weekend may entail, we're sure one of our many themed lodging packages will suit your style. Explore your options and make your reservations today!
