2-Day Tour Option (Monday through Thursday)

Tempt your taste buds with some of the freshest snacks around - baked, churned, fried and salted in the Factory Tour Capital of the World! Savor the mouthwatering side of manufacturing as you are invited to go behind the scenes for some of Central Pennsylvania's most popular snack food tours!

Day 1 - Sweet Treats! 

11 a.m. New Grounds Roasting Company

New Grounds Roasting Company uses coffee beans from around the world to produce the finest coffees in York. Visit for a firsthand look at how coffee beans are roasted. Plus, enjoy drinks, baked goods, soups and sandwiches in the store. Be sure to grab a coffee to go or a pound to take come and share!

  Noon - Sunrise Soap Co.

A treat for all of your senses! Watch all natural soaps handmade right before your eyes (leave time for shopping and take some home!)  At Sunrise Soap you can find anyhyhing from handmade soaps to artisan crafts all which are made locally!

2:30 p.m. Sweet Willows Creamery

The tour will feature a home made ice cream demonstration. During the ice cream demo, the visitors may ask questions while observing the unique process of making Home Made Ice Cream in a small family owned local creamery. Tour includes a small ice cream from the fresh batch or from anyone of our current flavors. Minimum 10 guests, Max 40.

4 p.m. Turkey Hill Experience 

The Turkey Hill Experience is a 26,000 square foot attraction in Columbia. The Turkey Hill Experience pays homage to Turkey Hill's history while highlighting its ice cream and iced tea-making processes. The Experience includes interactive exhibits (including a chance to make your own ice cream flavor), a café, a gift shop, and lots of other fun things for the entire family!

Tour: approx. 1 hour | Cost: $8 seniors

6 p.m. Check into hotel & evening Theater/dinner options available

Day 2 - Salty Eats!

 8 a.m. Breakfast at Hotel

 9 a.m. Revonah Pretzels

Hand-made pretzel bakery, dough mixing, pretzel twisting (rolling), dip and bake, kiln dry and pack. Outlet store. You can take a tour of Revonah Pretzels Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8 a.m.-Noon, reservation required. The length of the tour is 20 minutes, and there is no admission charge. Motor coaches are welcome, but please pre-schedule bus tours. The tour is handicap accessible.

 10 a.m. Martin's Potato Chips (Tuesdays Only)

From the farm kitchen of Harry and Fairy Martin, back in 1941, a unique potato chip found its way into the hearts and homes of York County. Go on the floor of the factory and experience a potato chip tour like no other.

11 a.m. Utz Quality Foods

The self-guided tour of Utz Quality Foods allows you to view the entire 30 minute process that transforms a raw spud into a crunchy chip. Utz has evolved into a large, regional snack food company that produces up to 14,000 pounds of award winning chips per hour. After your tour, don't forget your souvenir bag of chips! Leave time to visit the factory outlet store for bargains by the bagful.

12:30 p.m.  Central House Market (Lunch)

Visit our century-old market to sample and take home sweet treats home-made daily. There may even be a cooking demonstration! Lunch on your own or dine as a group.

(*Note - Itinerary can be adjusted based on your arrival time/travel distance. Some factories have special operating schedules, please call Patrick to verify that the factories will be open at the time of your visit - if not, other options will be suggested.
