Revonah Pretzel (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
This small, family-owned operation produces pretzels made from Grandma's original sourdough recipe. Each batch is rolled and twisted by hand, salted to perfection, then baked in the 70-year-old hearth brick and stone oven before being hardened in a 160 degree heated kiln for hours. The result is a delectable golden brown pretzel with the perfect amount of crunch!
Martin's Potato Chips (Tuesdays - 9am, 10am, or 11am)
The tour at Martin's Potato Chips starts where the potatoes are unloaded and ends with your group eating fresh popcorn and potato chips directly off the production line. In between you will tour the 75,000 sq. ft. facility which produces over one million bags of chips each month. Don't forget to pick up a bag of famous Kettle Cook'd Chips in the outlet store! Low-heeled, closed-toe shoes are required for factory tour
Central Market (Lunch, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)
Standing at the corner of North Beaver and Philadelphia Streets for over 125 years, Central Market is a reminder of York's storied history and the anchor of the revitalization of Downtown York. Market shoppers enjoy the finest in locally grown flowers and produce, baked goods, fresh seafood, meats, deli products and many specialty items. Visitors will find fresh local flavor at the many prepared food vendors.
York City Pretzel Company
Located in the heart of downtown, the York City Pretzel Company proudly serves customers a German-style soft pretzel with a fresh, local twist. Their old-Bavarian-style recipe might sound simple (made with just flour, water, yeast, salt, brown sugar and butter), but this isn't your ordinary soft pretzel. You can learn how they make their product and see how their pretzels get their signature twist.
